I have been having a ridiculous amount of fun making FELT play food for my kids play kitchen. There are NUMBEROUS blogs to check out on the subject and you can get great ideas on etsy (or just buy them if you don’t want to make them yourself).
Here are a few Links I think you should check out; they are VERY impressive!
Homemade by Jill (she also has LOTS of links)
Ivers (check out her felt food photo stream)
The sauce and cheese are essentially one piece of felt just edged. I currently have basil (or spinach) and tomatoes for a margarita pizza. I will also be making mushrooms, pineapple, pepperoni and possibly even green peppers. We will see.
I have also made orange slices and fried eggs. With plans for pancakes after my pizza project is done.
I'm impressed, but I know my kids would just lose it, and then I'd be mad. Better to avoid mad mom.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of felt food. This post reminds me that I need to make more...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! So inspired, but not sure where I'd store all my supplies/materials...
ReplyDeleteSo... what's your secret? Where or how do you store and organize all your creative supplies? I'm working with little to barely-there space and not a whole lot of closet space... any suggestions?
The office organization will commence in July! I am beside myself with excitement!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these two ideas - between the recycled containers on shelves and peg-board above the desks, we should be good on space for small crafty stuff.

Oo-Oo! thanks! I love all the ideas! -- and I totally remember bringing a frozen orange juice can to elementary school once upon a time to be repurposed as my pencil-holder ;) Have to say that the pegboard idea might work best while we're in an apartment (though we gained over 175 sq. ft. with the move, it's an interesting use of space -- large bathrooms... so I'm thinkin' more cabinets).
ReplyDeleteI was feeling pretty good about myself and my skills, so I came over here for a realty check. Thank you. I now feel appropriately inadequate.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Adrien! Well done!
